Ebinger Vemos Air

The Ebinger VEMOS AIR Mk1 is an airborne electromagnetic impulse (EMI) metal detection system designed for UAV-based geophysical surveys. The system is capable of identifying conductive materials such as non-ferrous metals and smaller metallic objects that may not be easily detected by magnetometers.

Originally derived from the Ebinger UPEX 740M large-loop metal detector, the VEMOS AIR was redesigned for use with professional drone platforms. The system includes a foldable search coil mounted beneath the UAV along with an electronics module and mounting system that allows it to operate during aerial surveys.

This payload is commonly used for applications such as unexploded ordnance detection, archaeological surveys, infrastructure inspection, and locating buried metallic objects. When deployed on a UAV, the system allows operators to survey large areas efficiently while maintaining consistent sensor coverage across the terrain.
